Custom Cakes & Desserts for Any Occasion

We used Monica’s Sugar Studio for our wedding cake. I should start off by saying that my husband and I were winding down after our big day and were talking about each vendor we had and how we felt they did and we both agreed fiercely that the Monica did a wonderful job! I had learned about Monica from a friend that was using her for her wedding as well. It was a pleasure from the beginning, I contacted Monica through email and she got back to me right away about meeting. We met with her at her cute little shop to which she had samples of cake flavors we had chosen from a huge selection she offers. We ultimately decided on a “barely naked cake” with not much icing and the flavors we chose were almond and marble cake with a chocolate gnache filling. Monica was super helpful with recommending a kitchen cake and a smaller display cake to cut down on costs as well as offered us a fabnet discount for being apart of a local bridal network she belongs to, we stayed within budget and were very happy with the price she offered us. She was very good at getting back to me via email and the day of the wedding when she had a question she went directly to the coordinator at the venue to not add any stress on me that day which I appreciated tremendously. She arrived without a peep to set up the cake and it was gorgeous!! We had provided her with fresh flowers from our florist and she added these as well as a topper we provided with no extra charge. All of our guests raved about how delicious and fresh our cake was and lots of people shared photos on Facebook because seriously.. it was beautiful!!! I had only gotten a bite of the cake for how busy we were but definitely look forward to our 1 year anniversary cake!! I will forever use Monica as our cake lady for special occasions and will always recommend her for an amazing outcome!!

Monica is absolutely delightful. We did a tasting at her studio and everything we tried was SO good. We got a three tiered cake and it looked beautiful on our wedding day! We had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID and she was very flexible working with us to secure our new date. We also ordered mini desserts from Monica: chocolate mousse bombs, cream puffs, cherry streusel tarts, and assorted truffles. All of the dessert items and the cake were incredible! Our guests were coming up to us all weekend to tell us how yummy the cake and each dessert was. Monica was easy to work with and very knowledgeable helping us decide on the right size cake/dessert amount for our guest count. We would highly recommend Monica’s Sugar Studio for your wedding cake/dessert!! Or honestly, for any occasion you are looking to make more delicious!! She’s awesome!

Monica did my wedding cake and cupcakes for my wedding this past weekend, and everything was to die for!! From the time we booked, the tasting and the wedding, couldnt have ask for better service. I was in love with how my cake came out! The guests loved the flavors that we had, I would say there was very little left over. I would highly recommend having Monica do your wedding cake/cupcakes!

Monica makes the BEST wedding cakes! I had guests coming up to me telling me how delicious it was and how it was the best cake they have ever had at a wedding! My mom now wants to get all her cakes from Monica.
Monica was so flexible and responsive with me and my husband during rescheduling our wedding THREE times due to covid! I loved working with Monica! I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend her and her talent! She really was amazing and dealing with me and Mike changing our minds on the cake a couple of times since covid changed our original plans.

Words cannot describe the compliments we received from our guests about our cake! Monica is so incredible! She was flexible with my husband and I, as we were 4 hours away, and was able to schedule meetings through our times of traveling back to Frederick. She was an easy pick after the first tasting and deciding on the chocolate chip cake (MUST TRY)! Her delivery was so efficient and thoughtful. Monica delivered our cake as close to the reception as possible because of the cold weather (in the 40s on 11.01.19)! She wanted to make sure the buttercream was not hardened at the time of cake cutting. I couldn’t recommend her anymore!
